It's AWESOME, but I feel like your character should run automatically, since there doesn't seem like there's any reason to walk, and also I wish there was a way to skip dialogue after seeing it once, since it requires trial and error so I die a bit and have to watch it every time.
Thank you! You're right about running; There should be a good reason to walk or it shouldn't be an option. As for the dialogue, I hoped that allowing you to move around while the dialogue was happening would lessen the frustration, but I should have made the opening sequence shorter.
When you get the laser drill, you can drill through small rocks and cracked tiles with z, including the ones blocking your way out. There is an easy way and a hard way to escape, I'll leave that up to you. Once you do, there's something buried in a pile of rubble you passed on your way down that will help you get around.
Finally, I generally come back to my old projects when I've grown my skills enough. You can see the difference between the jam version of Alien Planet and the current one, and I remade Adventure, too, though the original jam version has been lost. So I'm sure at some point I'll remake Titan Labs as well, once I have the time and I feel I can make a significant enough improvement.
Thanks for the feedback, I'm so glad you're enjoying it.
Wow ok I didn't expect a reply! Usually when I make a comment on something it goes unnoticed, but not this time! I got past it, but was unable to beat the game due to not having enough GEEMER SKILLZ. Anyways, I'm following you, and I hope you make a non-Jam version of it, since it was a blast! (I haven't had to reply to any devs before so this probably sounds a little weird by the way ;D)
Pretty rad game, but I'm done with the constant resetting because I landed from heights higher than the sole of my character's foot. no thanks, I'm out.
Yeah, that's one of the things I regret about this game. I should have been way more forgiving with fall damage, it gets pretty frustrating. Thanks for the feedback.
I wish there was some sort of checkpoint system - having to redo everything gets frustrating after a few times. Movement also felt a little too slow (even with the bionic legs) including all the faceplants. Other than that I enjoyed it.
Good short metroidvania! Gotta love that drill gun :)
I almost got stuck after "someone" tried to kill the hero until I figured out that I can change clothes while jumping. Well, it's still tough road after that but managed to get to large monitor and last upgrade nonetheless
I wish weapon change and clothes change could use other button
I noticed when play testing that players didn't know to climb up to the grapple beam, I probably should have put the grapple beam on the other side of the gap, so you could see it from the lower level and then try to figure out how to get there, like I did with the exo suit. Good lesson for next time.
It was difficult to fit the three actions into two buttons; you're right, it would have been better to use a third if I could, but that's part of the restrictions of pico-8.
Great game! I can't figure out what I am supposed to do after getting the climbing suit and the electricity thing explodes? Am I supposed to jump before it does that
After that you're supposed to climb up to the top right. You can jump to the left before the reactor explodes, or climb up another way. AIVA tells you to go to the surface, but that's a trap.

I think it's too easy to die. Especially if you have shit reflexes and can't push down at the right time.
Great metroidvania! Good palette choice, too! Just all out good!

Just realized this was from a gam jam, so no updates ): HOW DO I GET PAST THE FIRST LASER GUN THING IDK WHAT TO DOOOO!?

Yw, Best of luck with it.
Nice challenging game!

hint: the solution involves switching suits.
